2024 Short Term Mission Opportunities  

Looking for Leaders

Kemas Canyon, Arizona

April 12 – 15, 2024

Ministry Assignments

  • The team will drive to a Hopi high place where they hold their worship and dances. There, they will clear out and clean a house so it can be prepared for a grandmother and her grandchildren.
  • Also, with the help of the church members, this team will also plan a youth outreach to take place on Saturday and Sunday evening.

What You Need to Know

  • Dates: Friday, April 12, 2024 – Monday, April 15 (leaving early Friday morning and returning around 5:00 PM, Monday April 15.

  • Housing: Team members will be using blow-up mattresses on the floor (there is, however, a small house with a few beds available).

  • Who we are looking for: This trip is designed for a team of 12 to 14 junior high students and their parents (students may attend even if their parents cannot).
    Transportation: We will be traveling in the church vans (approximately a four hour trip).

  • Cost: $120 per person. This will cover food, gas, insurance, utilities, and snacks. A $25 deposit is required

  • Team training: Will be held on the three Sundays leading up to the trip.

Managua, Nicaragua

July 1 – 9, 2024

Ministry Assignments

  • Assisting with children’s Bible School – planning games, crafts, and teaching.
  • Conducting a volleyball and worship/music clinic – thisincludes coaching teens from the community on volleyball,also teaching drums, guitar, and vocals.
  • Helping with church improvement projects such as paintingand light construction.
  • Sharing your personal testimony about how you met Jesus and how He as changed your life.

Helpful Skills

  • Spanish speakers – It would be helpful if at least a couple of team members could speak Spanish.
  • Knowledge of the game of volleyball.
  • Musicians with knowledge of leading worship, and teachingdrums and guitar.
  • Construction experience (definition: you can wield a paintbrush and hammer).
  • If you can help in any of these areas, have a willing heart, and adesire to serve the Lord on this team, we would love for you tojoin us on this trip.

What You Need to Know

  • Team training will be provided.
  • Application is required.
  • Cost: $2,000—which includes airfare, housing, meals, transportation, ministry supplies, and travel insurance.
  • There are limited scholarships available.

Madrid, Spain

October 18 – 27, 2024

Ministry Assignments

  • Team members will be serving the youth of Friendship House by teaching English classes, meeting multiple cultures by attending women’s English classes and Bible studies (Spaniards and North Africans), attending an Arabic language class, worshiping with the new church plant, and interacting with the congregation. They will be staying in a hotel near the Friendship House.

Goals for the team

  • To see the mission and ministry in a working environment.

  • To experience and learn about different cultures.

  • To explore ways God can use team members wherever they are.

  • To encourage, excite, and engage with the missionaries.

  • To explore new ways to be part of short and long term cross
    cultural mission.

  • To be ambassadors for the Friendship House ministry


If you are interested in serving on a short term trip, and have never been to the Friendship House, we would love to have you join us on this trip.

$2500 includes airfare, baggage, hotel, van rental, all meals, ministry supplies, and also visits to various sites. You must have a valid passport.
